Proper Parts was founded in 2006 by Alex Porti when he couldn’t find a Power Seat Transmission for a 1981 Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit. This led him to engineer and rebuild a robust Power Seat Transmission to replace the original. Since then, we have sold over a thousand seat transmissions for certain model years of Rolls-Royce and Bentley, as well as many General Motors models from the late 1970s to the late 1980s: Cadillac, Buick, Chevrolet, GMC, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac. We also offer fully rebuilt Power Seat Motors to accompany these transmissions.
We provide a variety of essential components for these Power Seat Systems, including switches, seat rail bushings/track glides, couplers, gear drives, square drive cables and sheaths, actuators, retaining clips, jack screws, screw drives, retaining plates, and escutcheons. Our product line also features newly designed Electronic Control Units (ECUs) that control power seats and mirrors in Range Rover Classic, Rolls-Royce, and Bentley models.
